Can you explain now why shoulder bags are provided with broad straps and not thin strap?

Bags should be provided with broad straps because it decreases the pressure by increasing surface area which makes it easier to carry them. On the other hand, thin straps decrease surface area which results in more pressure and it becomes hard for us to carry them.
