Sorting Materials into Groups > Ask Question to Alfie
Hi
List some examples of insoluble substances ?
On the basis of solubility, the materials are classified into soluble and insoluble materials:- 1. Soluble materials:- Those materials which completely dissolve or disappear in water to make a transparent liquid are called soluble materials. Examples are sugar, common salt, alum, etc. 2. Insoluble materials:- Those materials which do not dissolve or disappear in water even after stirring for a long time are called insoluble materials. Examples are sand, chalk powder, flour, sawdust, etc.
Some of the learners also asked: What is the difference between opaque and transparent materials?
