The differences between base and alkali are:
1. A base is a substance containing a hydroxyl group. Eg-: NH4OH. whereas Alkali is the base which is soluble in water. Eg -: NaOH. 2. Bases do not dissolve in water. whereas, Alkali is a base that dissolves in water. 3. All bases are not alkali. whereas, All alkali are bases.
