What is the function of leaves?
The characteristics of leaves are:
1) Leaves are of different shape and size. 2) Leaves store food. 3)The leaves also give out oxygen which is essential for all living things. 4) They are the food-making factory of the plant or the site of food making in plant. Leaf contains chlorophyll,which helps to absorb light. Food is prepared by a process called photosynthesis which uses sunlight, air and water to make food.
