Difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes
Eukaryotic:- Eukaryotic means 'true nucleus'. Well organised nucleus with nuclear membrane is present. They are generally multicellular. Consists of more than one chromosomes. Ribosomes in it are larger. Cell size– 1-10um. Examples:- Animal and Plant cells. Prokaryotes:- Prokaryote means 'early nucleus'. Nuclear membrane is absent. They are generally unicellular. Consists of only one chromosome.(But not true chromosome-Plasmid). Ribosomes in it are smaller in size. Cell size– 10-100um. Examples:- Cells of Bacteria and Archaea.
